Multiply both sides of the equation by \(x\) to get: \(8+2x=50x\)
Subtract \(2x\) from both sides: \(8=48x\)
Divide both sides by \(48\) to get: \(\frac{8}{48}= x\)
Simplify: \(\frac{1}{6}= x\)
Answer: C
