The numbers in the set \({a,b,c,d,e}\).

Rewriting the numbers as \({n-2,n-1,n,n+1,n+2}\) since they are consecutive.

Sum \(= n-2 + n-1 + n + n+1 + n+2 = 5n\)

For 20 percent reduction you need to remove n. Hence the number n is removed from the set.

Hence option C is correct
