First bowl contains mangoes to orange in ratio - 3:1
Second bowl contains mangoes to orange in ratio - 1:1 ( 2 mangoes and 2 oranges )
Now the Probability that the number of mangoes in the first bowl will increase = probability that the orange is selected from the first bowl and to be placed in second bowl and the probability that the mango is selected from the second bowl and to be placed in first bowl
probability that the orange is selected from the first bowl to be placed in second bowl = 1/4 (since for every 1 orange the bowl contains 4 fruits)
probability that the mango is selected from the second bowl and to be placed in first bowl = 1/2 (since for every 1 mango , the bowl contains 2 fruits)
Thus total probability = 1/4 * 1/2 = 1/8 -- answer C
