To convert speed in m/s to kmph, multiply it with 185
So the speed in kmph = (20)(185)=72

Now, we need to convert time into hours by dividing it with 60 [as, 1 minute = 160 hour]

So, Distance = Speed x Time
D = 72 x 1060
D = 12km

Hence, option B

Hi,

We can first convert the second into minutes=20*60=1200 mtr per minute
Then as we need distance travelled in 10 mins and as the car can travel 1200 mtrs in 10 mins,
Thus, using distance formula D= S*T
1200*10=12000 mtrs in 10 mins

1000 mtrs=1 Km

Thus, 12000 Mtrs=12 kms.

We can solve this question using equivalent ratios
We'll compare distance(in meters)/time(in seconds)

Since 10 minutes = 600 seconds, we can write: 20/1 = x/600
Cross multiply to get: (1)(x) = (20)(600)
Simplify: x = 12,000

This means the car travels 12,000 METERS in 10 minutes
12,000 METERS = 12 KILOMETERS

Answer: B
