You've posted a great question about a financial institution's assets. To find out what percentage of assets were held in cash on that day, divide the amount held in cash by total assets and multiply by 100. So it's like taking a slice of pie; you divide the cash slice by the total assets slice, then multiply it by 100 to get the percentage.
