It is given that mean is 20 i.e. 𝑀 = 20 Standard deviation is 2 i.e. 𝐷 = 2 The value which is two standard deviation more than the mean, i.e. value is 𝑀 + 2𝐷 = 20 + 4 = 24 Other value which is one standard deviation less than the mean, i.e. value is 𝑀 – 𝐷 = 20 – 2 = 18 Difference between two values is = 24 – 18 = 6 Ans. (6)
