According to the problem, the first garden has an area of 600 square feet and a length of 40 feet. Therefore, the width of the garden is 600/40=15 feet The second garden has a width twice that amount (30 feet), and an area
only half that of the first garden 1/2 of 600.
the length of the second garden is 300/30=10 feet
The perimeter of the first garden is 2 x length + 2 x width = 2(40) + 2(15) = 110.
The perimeter of the second garden is 2 x length + 2 x width = 2(10) + 2(30) = 80.
The correct ration is 110/80
