30-60-90 triangle property:
Base: Perpendicular: Hypotenuse
x : root3 x : 2x

70 which is hypotenuse is given
so,
2x=70
x=35

We have to find perpendicular so
root3 x
where x = 35
it would be 35 root3
and 7 would be added as ladder is placed 7 feet above ground

Please refer to diagram given by Brent. Option D is correct answer
