Let's take the initial price \(= 100\)
up by 5% on \(Monday = 105\)
up 8% on \(Tuesday = 1.08 * 105 = 113.4\)
down 4% on \(Wednesday = 0.96 * 113.4 = 108.864\)
up 3% on \(Thursday = 1.03 * 108.864 = 112.13\)
down 10% on \(Friday = 0.90 * 112.13 = 100.91 ≈ 101\) %
