The people in favour of privitization would definitely have antipathy towards the current method So choose choose the word that implies a negative sentence. Impossible to sustain sounds good.For the second blank notice there is a time contrast "but now" so the situation has changed.Reveersed is a closest word that can be matched.Privitization as mentioned by people who espouse it say that It will gradually reduce the already existing system .So phasing out is the option.
