Quick Answer: I think your first step is to figure out your post-grad career goals. Those are going to inform which degree is the best option for you as well as which schools. Your whole argument for why you need the degree rests on your career goals, as does your argument for why a particular school is the best fit.
You want to think through both your short-term (immediately upon graduation) and long-term (~10 years post graduation) career goals. The purpose of the ST goal is to be the very best prep for the LT goal, and the purpose of your grad degree is to prepare you for both. Once you’ve identified those, you can figure out which type of degree would be the best fit.
It all depends on the skill gaps you need to fill to achieve those career goals. That will help you determine which schools are the best fit as well. Take a look at course catalogs & see if you see unique electives that are relevant to your career goals. Research professors to see if any have a specialty that relates. It will be important to get your final GRE score so you can gauge your competitiveness at particular schools. Generally speaking, you want to at least hit & ideally exceed a school’s target undergrad degree as well as GRE. When you've checked those boxes & can also submit some strong essays & letters of recommendation you’ve got a good shot at it! I hope that helps!
