I’m prepping for the GRE and would like to take the exam in 6 weeks. So far I’ve taken a diagnostic where my scores from that test were 152 Quant and 160 Verbal. I’d really appreciate any advice on my study plan and a few other questions I have:
1) Review + Practice Plan: Quant: Review PrepSwift and do all the Manhattan Quant questions.
Vocab: Vocab Mountain and then
Magoosh App
Verbal: Planning to watch GregMat’s 2024 lectures and practice with ETS material.
Then do full-length practice exams closer to the test date.
2) Question on Study Methodology: For those who’ve used PrepSwift or GregMat, did you combine watching lectures with daily practice questions, or did you focus on taking notes first and then move on to practice questions afterward?
3) Quant Practice Questions: After doing 1,000+ Quant questions, did you start seeing repeat questions on the actual GRE? Was the combination of 5 lb + ETS sufficient for you? Also, is it a better use of time to focus primarily on medium to hard level questions?
4) Efficiently Utilizing GregMat Lectures: I know everyone finds GregMat’s lectures helpful, but did you go through each one, especially since they’re about an hour each, or just the ones in areas that you need the most help with? I was thinking of substituting PowerPrep Quant for GregMat lectures. Thoughts?
5) Additional Resources: Is there anything else that you found particularly helpful? I’ve heard about practicing out of the Big Book, but I’m not sure if I’ll have enough time to get to practicing out of those. Which is better for TC and SE questions, Big Book or ETS Material?
Additionally, for Vocab, does anyone have any good links to Quizlet Vocab Cards that have a word with synonyms + example of word used in a sentence, rather than just word and definition? Or was the Vocab Mountain section on GregMat sufficient?
