Retail price = (wholesale cost) + (20% of wholesale cost)
= (wholesale cost) + 0.2(wholesale cost)
= 1.2(wholesale cost)
The wholesale cost was $800
So, the retail price = 1.2(wholesale cost) = 1.2($800) = $960
Answer: B

Price of item = 1.2 * wholesale cost ---> 1.2 * 800 ----> 960, hence option B is correct
