total number of dollars = 6+y
andy has Australian dollars more than 3/8 th of total dollars so lets equate first
y = 3/8 *(6+y)
y comes out to be 3.4
y should be greater than 3.4 so y = 4
now total number of min dollars are = 6 + 4 = 10 which is option C
