this is a question of compound ratios

compound ratio is
8:12:15
now out of total 35x, 8x are dogs and 15x are birds.
question said, twice the number of dogs, so ratio will become 16x which is greater than 15x. hence Ans is A.
trap answer: on the basis of ratio alone, we can not find the exact numbers. if question ask about a specific number without stating the total animals, we can not state the number of birds, dogs and cats.
