Since the question states
Approximately what was
the average value traded per investor in the five categories for 2001 we have to care only of the red part of the graph
As such, it is a matter of a multiplication between the two values. Because the two values are already the average per single operation but we need the total average referring to the 5 categories above the red part (in the first half of the table
\(2,610 * 18 \approx 47,000\)
