The LSAT logical reasoning section has questions where they give you a situation (3-4 sentences basically a paragraph; aka a short argument) then they have a question, for example, which of the following options (a,b,c,d,e) weakens the above argument.
You see a few questions in the GRE Verbal where you will get the same question type.
One GRE Verbal section is basically:
- reading comprehension (almost half the exam questions)
- sentence completion (almost half the exam questions)
- 2-3 questions on logical reasoning (aka short arguments)
