This is not a GRE question in my view
It simple states that the median is the middle number in a set of odd numbers
17.3 is the answer
How about if they are asking for the mean? I got similar question in my GRE test (they gave 2 numbers in 2 different percentile, and asked for mean), and I could not justify the answer.
I tried to find the average of 2 numbers (given it's normally distributed from the mean), which has .5 but the answer GRE gave me is the integers.
