Nice question :thumbup:

The first problem can be solved by approximation
2500+500+1000+300+50 = 4350, 1/4 th of which is approximately 1000+.
For the 2nd problem
% change is \( | \frac{old-new}{old} | = \frac{ 489-458}{458 } = \frac{ 31}{458 } \)
Now if we approximate numerator as 30 and denominator as 450, then it will be 6.7%
