For the first 40 hrs she earns $40 per hr hence she should work for the first 40 hrs. Her income on that would be $1600
For each hr more she will earn $80. Hence, let the extra hrs she works be x then for that she earns 80x.
By question, \(\frac{80x + 1600}{40+x} = 60\)
solve for x; x = 40
Therefore, total hrs she has to work for the week to earn $60 avg would be 80 hrs.

Renee makes $40*40 hours=$1600 in first 40 hours
Let 't' be the no of hours Renee would work.
Given, Renee makes $80 per hour for each hour she works after the first 40 hours. So, she makes an additional pay $80*(t-40)hours for every hour after 40 hours.
So, 1600+80(t−40)t=601600+80(t−40)t=60
Or, 1600+80t-3200=60t
Or, 20t=1600
or, t=80 hours
