Let the full admission price be $p$ and the cost of sponsoring the event be $C$.
If all 148 paid, revenue would be $148 p$, and this equals three times the cost, so $\(148 p=3 C\)$, hence $\(C=\frac{148 p}{3}\)$.
Actual revenue is from only 50 people paying full price, so total revenue is $50 p$.
Compare $50 p$ with $\(C=\frac{148 p}{3}\)$ :
$$
\(\frac{50 p}{C}=\frac{50 p}{148 p / 3}=\frac{150}{148}>1\)
$$
So $\(50 p>C\)$, meaning Quantity A (total revenue) is greater than Quantity B (cost of sponsoring the event).
