GMAT to GRE switch

Hello everyone,
Found this forum through GMATclub, where I have been active for the last few days. I was suggested to try the GRE instead of GMAT, owing to the less prep time I have. I'm targeting schools in Europe and with the approaching deadlines, it seems I will achieve my dream through the GRE instead of GMAT.

Ive taken both, I took the GRE in 2000 and GMAT is 2014. I am now retaking the GRE for a second masters. I found both exams to be pretty similar. GMAT seems to be a bit more work becasue of the extra section.
