GRE Big Book for Shorter GRE Verbal

Hello,
I am solving Verbal section questions from the GRE Big Book. Under timed condition, Is it fine to skip long passages and focus on short passages (~15 lines) so that they replicate real-time GRE?
Any other advice to augment my prep is appreciated!

I suggest to practice only medium passages with at most 4 questions each.
Even though long passages are still possible and not deprecated, they are rare
