Given: m = 4x + 4y I notice that we have (x+y) in quantity A. So, let's make the given information look like (x+y) If we take the equation m = 4x + 4y and divide both sides by 4, we get: m/4 = x+y
Now, in quantity A, we can replace (x+y) with m/4 to get: Quantity A: 2m/(m/4) = (2m)(4/m) = 8m/m = 8 Quantity B: 8
