This means that (w + x + y)/3 = 9
Multiply both sides of the equation by 3 to get: w + x + y = 27


Column A: The average of 2w-y, 3x+6 and 3y-x
Average of these 3 values = [(2w-y) + (3x+6) + (3y-x)]/3
Simplify numerator to get: [2w + 2x + 2y + 6]/3
Factor the numerator to get: [2(w + x + y + 3]/3

KEY STEP: Replace w + x + y with 27 [from earlier conclusion with given information]
We get: [2(27 + 3]/3
Simplify: 60/3 = 20

Column B: 20
