Company Y work for 46 hr.
Now the company Y will get 1.5 * hourly rate for each hour worked per week in excess of the first 40 hours= {1.5 * (46-40)} + 40 = 9+ 40 =49
Let H = total hours company X worked
therefore the company X will get 1.5 * hourly rate for each hour worked per week in excess of the first 37 hours = {1.5 * (H-37)} + 37
Now amount of pay for company X = amount of pay for company Y, who works for 46 hours
i.e {1.5 * (H-37)} + 37 = 49
or 1.5H - 55.5 + 37 =49
or H = 45 hours.
Hence company X have to work for 45 hours
