Considering, the ratio of the 3 sides => 8:4sqrt3:4 => 2:sqrt3:1
This implies that, this particular triangle is a 30:60:90 triangle. As angle x is opposite of the side with length 4sqrt3, hence it must be greater than the other angle (which is opposite of the side with length 4 units).

Hence, the value of x = 60
I would have gone with cos inverse (4/8=0.5). But your method works too.
