GRE TEST CENTER EXPERIENCE (Q161 , V157)

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my GRE experience as a way to give back to this community, which helped me so much during my short 7-day prep (after failing the GMAT due to poor time management). I’m still processing my score , part of me is relieved, but another part wonders if it’s competitive enough given how steep the percentile rankings have become in the last 5 years.
My Takeaways:
Test Center > At-Home: This might be subjective, but I strongly recommend taking the test in-person. My online GMAT experience was stressful—long proctor delays, Wi-Fi worries, and distractions tanked my performance. At a test center, it’s just you and the exam, minimizing unnecessary anxiety.
Perfectionism is the Enemy: If you’re like me (strong academically but not a natural standardized test-taker), remember: Don’t fixate on hard questions. Skip, move on, and prioritize the ones you can solve. Also, thinking about past sections , focus only on what’s in front of you.
Quick Question:
I couldn’t screenshot my unofficial scores, and I need to apply to HEC Paris’ MIM (final round) by Monday. Will typing my scores suffice for now, with official reports sent later?
Do I stand a chance for HEC Paris? Any insights would be appreciated!
