D,E

Now x has to be fraction, let x= 0.5

Therefore only option D and E satisfy the equation because the sqaure of the fraction is always less than 1 and the number itself

i.e \(0.5^2 = 0.25<0.5\)

and \(0.5^2< 1\)

Are answers B and C equal or is it a typo?

If \(0 < x < 1\), which of the following must be true?

Indicate \(all\) possible choices.

❑ \(2x < x\) --> 2<1 not true

❑ \(2x < 1\) --> x>1/2 not true, as can be false

❑ \(2x > 1\) --> x<1/2 not true, as can be false

❑ \(x^2 < x\) --> x>1 true, as can't be false

❑ \(x^2 < 1\) --> x>1 true, as can't be false

answer is D, E
