We need an equation for total, first. Let's say the fraction that are women plus the fraction that are men is 1.
W+M=1
Now let's get rid of the men.
\(\frac{2}{3} W = \frac{1}{2} M\)
\(\frac{4}{3}\)W=M
So,
W+\(\frac{4}{3}\)W=1
\(\frac{3}{3}\)W + \(\frac{4}{3}\)W=1
\(\frac{7}{3}\)W=1
Isolate W to get \(\frac{3}{7}\)
