In other words, \((\frac{3x}{4} - 2)(\frac{3x}{4} - 2) = 0\)
So, it must be the case that: \(\frac{3x}{4} - 2 = 0\)
Add 2 to both sides to get: \(\frac{3x}{4} = 2\)
Multiply both sides by 4 to get: \(3x = 8\)
Divide both sides by 3 to get: \(x = \frac{8}{3}\)
Answer: E

If (3x/4−2)^2 = 0 then (3x/4−2) should be = 0.
If (3x/4−2) = 0 then 3x/4 should be = 2.
By substituting x = 8/3 we get 2, therefore option E is the right answer.
