My bad!

When I multiplied -1 by -3, I somehow got -3 (instead of 3)

I've corrected my mistake above.

Kudos to both of you!!!!!
Thanks for the heads up!!!

Cheers,
Brent

Shouldn't it JUST be answer B?
For option x>-9
X can be less than -9 and fulfill the inequality
ex) if x=-9.5
Abs(-(-9.5/3)+3) = 0.1667 which is still less than 2

x = -9.5 is not a solution to the original inequality, |(-x/3) + 1| < 2

If x = -9.5, then -x = -(-9.5) = 9.5
So, we get: |(9.5/3) + 1| < 2, which evaluates to be: 6.1666 < 2

none of the answer choices are correct, is it not? because we get 3<x<15 , neither of them falls under this region.

Sir,

We are getting \(3 < x <15\) . We are asked which of the choices must be true.

Now \(x\) must be +ve hence \(x >0\) & \(x > -9\)

Please ask if the doubt remains.
