BCD is equilateral triangle --> all sides are equal
Perimter = 3(side)
3(side) = 18
side= 6
each side of triangle = 6
BD = 6
Perimeter of ABCDE is = AE+ED+DC+CB+AB
(AE=BD=6) and (AB=ED) --> opposite sides of rectangle are equal
BD=DC=CB=6 (sides of equilateral traingle)
Perimeter of Polygon ABCDE = 26
AE+ED+DC+CB+AB = 26
6+ED+6+6+AB = 26
ED+AB=8
(AB=ED)
2(AB) = 8
AB= 4
Area of rectangle = ABXBD
4X6
24
Hence, C is the Answer.
