A better perspective for this question would be
\(d_a = d_b * 8\)
and since diameter = radius / 2
\(r_a/2 = r_b/2 * 8\)
That is
\(r_a = r_b * 8\)
Therefore, the ratio of areas would be
\(A_a / A_b = \frac{\pi * x * 8^2}{\pi * x}\)
Therefore the ratio is 64:1
\(d_a = d_b * 8\)
and since diameter = radius / 2
\(r_a/2 = r_b/2 * 8\)
That is
\(r_a = r_b * 8\)
Therefore, the ratio of areas would be
\(A_a / A_b = \frac{\pi * x * 8^2}{\pi * x}\)
Therefore the ratio is 64:1
