Consider a two-digit number XY.
xy = 10x + y ----- S
The reverse of XY is YX.
yx = 10y + x
Now subtract the reversed number from the original number,
i.e. XY - YX
= 10x + y - ( 10y + x )
= 10x - x + y - 10 y
= 9x - 9y
= 9 (x-y)
i.e. a multiple of 9.
All the numbers except 64 are multiples of 9.
Hence, Answer = D
xy = 10x + y ----- S
The reverse of XY is YX.
yx = 10y + x
Now subtract the reversed number from the original number,
i.e. XY - YX
= 10x + y - ( 10y + x )
= 10x - x + y - 10 y
= 9x - 9y
= 9 (x-y)
i.e. a multiple of 9.
