IMPORTANT PROPERTY: If two sides of a triangle have lengths A and B, then . . .
|A - B| < length of third side < A + B
Given: The lengths of two sides of a triangle are 3 and 7
When we apply the above property we get: |3 - 7| < length of third side < 3 + 7
Simplify to get: 4 < length of third side < 10
So, the length of the third side could be 7 (but not 3 or 10)
Answer: B
