x^2 - 9=0 =.> x^2 = 9=>x=3 now the second equation implies that x^2+xy-18=0 => (3)^2 +3y-18= => 9-18+3y=0=>3y=9=>y=3 so by solving we obtain x=3 and y=3 which is option E
