GIVEN: 4x > y
Divide both sides by y to get: 4x/y < 1 [when we divide by a NEGATIVE value (y), we REVERSE the direction of the inequality symbol ]
Divide both sides by 4 to get: x/y < 1/4

So, x/y can be ANY value that's LESS THAN 1/4

Answer: A

Can we solve like this?

y<0 means y could be -1
4x>y is only possible if x = 0

so x/y should be zero.

\(\frac{x}{y}>\frac{0}{4}
\)

\(\frac{x}{y} > 0\)

We do know that \(y <0\) Therefore for \(\frac{x}{y}\) being > 0 x must be negative

So, X and Y are both negative. All the answer choices are positive but A

A must be the answer
