So as someone coming from taking the MCAT. I feel more overwhelmed by GRE resources than I do from MCAT resources. It seems there are way too many online services, book prep companies, etc.
So starting off, I wanted to ask, WHICH online TEST should I take as a starting diagnostic?
I understand that every book has it's pro's and cons, but what ETS materials/material from the GRE writers are MUST USES? From what I understand the Power Prep software (online) that comes with 2 tests is a must. GRE official edition quant/verbal book are a must, and the official study guide. What is the opinion on 2nd vs 3rd version? Also what is the super power pack thats being sold? Besides what I've named are there any I missed?
Would the
Manhattan Prep books + 5 LB book be enough for a 155+ in both sections score range? (Plus supplementing stuff from the test writers). Or should I use
Magoosh instead?
Does the analytical writing section matter? It seems like it isn't a section that's talked about much. Is it just not that difficult or is it more so a lot of schools don't care for it? How should I go about preparing for this section specifically?
Lastly what is a reasonable amount of time to put in to reach around the 90th percentile? Is 1 month, 30 hours a week enough?
