I don't understand how any of the options are correct for this blank. I checked the dictionary meanings of consummate, cavalier, and jackleg but none of them seem to fit.
Can somebody guide me?

Hi!

Consummate also means precise or perfect. And as the sentence is talking about a validation procedure because the data is misreported and the data thus needs precision so that the data could be used accurately whenever needed.

Hope this helps!!

P.S.: You can find the meaning of the word consummate in Magoosh Flash cards and on google
Thanks..!

This is an easy question.

Better quality info = more veritable (checked). Also, the statement after which says prove and disprove - validate
Due to misreporting, validation will always need to be an integral part - requisite
The older the alleged age of a longevity claim, the more stringent must be the validation procedure - consummate(perfect or supreme) perfectly fits here.

For this, you need to focus on two keywords, alleged and more, because it says alleged that means the validation procedure should be stricter for it and this is buttressed by the more before the blank, so in essence you want to say the validation procedure should scale with the alleged claims hence consummate fits perfectly.
