Here the biggest mistake you could do is using the classic percent change formula.
Here you need the least and the greatest possible increase.
70-55/55 = 27.3 %
110-40/40 = 175 %
Between this range all the possible values are correct.

I am not sure about the solution of this question. I thought about computing the salary increase for the lowest salary and the greatest one in order to get a range of percent increase but in this way I get a range between 75% and 100% that is not consistent with the answers provided in the OA
