Let's assume there are 100 students in the class and x is the fraction of girls and (100-x) is the fraction of boys. Now, we can form the equation:
\(\frac{3}{5}x+\frac{2}{3}(100-x) = \frac{5}{8}*100\)
Solving for x, we get x = 62.5, i.e. there are 62.5 girls in a classroom of 100 people.
So, fraction = \(\frac{62.5}{100} = \frac{5}{8}\)
