The distance between A and C is \(11-3=8\).
The height of triangle ADC is 7.
The area of triangle ADC is \(\frac{1}{2}*8*7 = 28\)
Triangle ABC has the same base as ADC.
The height of triangle ABC is 14.
The area of triangle ABC is \(\frac{1}{2}*8*14 = 56\)
\(28/56 = 1/2\)
The height of triangle ADC is 7.
The area of triangle ADC is \(\frac{1}{2}*8*7 = 28\)
Triangle ABC has the same base as ADC.
The height of triangle ABC is 14.
The area of triangle ABC is \(\frac{1}{2}*8*14 = 56\)
