In the rectangular solid above, points A, B, C, and D are vertices, AB = 8, and all edges meet at right angles. Which of the following statements, considered individually, is sufficient to determine the volume of the solid?

If we know that the solid is cube then we can find the volume as L^3
If AC =BC=CD then we can determine the other height and find the volume
If BD is 8√2 then we can use Pythagoras theorem to find the other side
Hence ACD

Why not B? 64 = 8^2 no? We cant take the negative root since we deal with lengths?
