Hence the AB= AD,What implies the angle ABD=ADB=X,Also AD=DC implies angle ACD=CAD=Y,
So from the triangle ADC,The exterior angle ADB=X= Interior angles ACD + CAD =Y + Y = 2Y
Thus X = 2Y , So the answer is A.
