You can estimate here also because the answer choices are widely spaced. The bar graph shows just under 10 billion dollars was spent on advertising in 1984. The pie chart shows $21 \%$ or just more than a fifth of this amount went to magazines. $\(\frac{1}{5} \times 10\)$ billion is 2 billion; the amount spent was close to $\(\\)$ 2$ billion.
