Here we can use the nifty "triangle side rule".
Recall:
For a triangle with sides a,b,c to be a valid triangle, these relations must hold:
a+b>c
b+c>a
c+a>b
Using the above, we can discover a range for X, since we know that the figure is indeed a triangle.
9+3>x
12>x
and
3+x>9
x>6
We know that x is a number between 6 and 12. We don't know what number, but that is not relevant. QB is 5.9, which is under our range - therefore QA will always be larger.
