Hey,
This question can be looked at from a function / value substitution view. For simplicity, lets denote the expressions as:
exp1 = j + 3
exp2 = (j^2 + 2)/j
So you can translate respective options as:
Quantity A:
1. Substitute 2 in exp1 i.e. j=2, which gives => 2 + 3 =5
2. Next substitute the result of above in exp2 i.e. 5 in exp2 =. which gives (5^2 + 2)/5 = 5.4

Quantity B:
1. Substitute 2 in exp2 i.e. j=2, which gives => (2^2 + 2)/2 =3
2. Next substitute the result of above in exp2 i.e. 3 in exp2, which gives 3 + 3 = 6

Thus, B>A (option B)

To calculate Quantity A:
Substitute 2 in (j^2 + 2/j) and then subs
