Alternate interior angle theorem tells alternate interior angles from transversal and two parallel lines are equal.
Then we have \(x = z\) and \(y = w\), since those pairs of angles are alternate angles separately.
We have \(x + w = z + y = y + z\).
Thus, A and B are equal.
Therefore, C is the right answer.
