Lower than expected Quant GRE

Hello, after 3 months of studying using Princeton Review and Magoosh I scored V154 Q56. I am very disappointed by my Quant score since on the practice tests during the last month I was getting between 158 and 163. On the ETS GRE practice exam that I took two days before the official I got V151 Q160. I feel like the questions were harder, which slowed me and had to rush through questions. It was surprising to me due to the experience I had with the Quant section before. Please help, I have 21 days to do it again and have to score above 161/162.

To improve your quant skills, you may find it helpful to engage in topical quant practice.
For example, let’s say that you want to practice Number Properties. You can do so by answering 50 or more questions just from Number Properties: LCM, GCF, units digit patterns, divisibility, remainders, etc.
After each problem set, thoroughly analyze your incorrect questions. For example, if you got a remainder question wrong, ask yourself why. Did you make a careless mistake? Did you not properly apply the remainder formula? Was there a concept you did not understand in the question?
By carefully analyzing your mistakes, you will be able to fix your weaknesses efficiently and, in turn, improve your GRE quant skills. Number Properties is just one example; follow this process for all quant topics.

It's very difficult to avoid, but the pressure you put on yourself by saying that you "have" to achieve x score really can work against you and build up stress. Not easy to talk yourself out of your own head, but try to go into the exam with the attitude that you know the material well, and that you're there to do the best you can. Also remember that the better you do, the more difficult that second quant section will be (provided that you exceed the threshold score for that first section to advance to the harder second section). Also be aware that the harder questions are using the exact same concepts -- they're just a bit more cleverly disguised. So use these next three weeks to really go identify the concepts you know, and the concepts that you're a little shaker on, and do a lot of mixed practice (both medium difficulty and hard, since that's what you'll encounter). And make sure that for any problems that you missed -- or once that you got correct but still aren't comfortable with -- that you review them and look at different strategies for solving them. Nearly all of those questions will show up here -- with lively discussion about different approaches to solving them. Good luck!
